Test Preparation:
- Where do I register for the SAT?

- When should I take my SAT?
- SAT is given on one of the Saturdays in October, December, February, March or April, and in June.
So, if you are prepared to take the test your sophomore or junior year, do it. If not, make sure you take it the fall of your senior year.
- How many times can I take my SAT?
- You can take the SAT as many times as you can stand it. So, take the SATs as many times as you need to,
to get the score that will get you into the college of your choice.
- What's the difference between the SAT & ACT?
- Depending on your personal skills, strengths and weaknesses it can be advantageous to take the ACT or SAT.
The major differences between the tests are:
- The SAT is a more strategy based test and therefore less straightforward
- The ACT has a science section while the SAT does not
- The ACT has more advanced math
- The SAT is broken into more sections
- The ACT writing section is not required while the SAT writing is required

What are the SAT II Subject tests?
The subject tests allow you to take an hour long test for a specific subject.
Twenty different subject tests are offered and some colleges require as many as three subject tests to be considered for admission.

College Admission:
- Early action vs. Early Decision?
- Both are early applications to a specific school. However, early decision is binding and therefore if you are accepted you must attend.
Whereas early action is not binding and you can opt not to attend the college even if admitted.
- Where do I fill out the common application?

- What if a college does not accept the common application?
- You must research how that college wants to receive your application. Some colleges prefer a hard copy; others have an on-line submission process.
