Hi, my name is Amanda. I graduated from Regis College in 2008 with a BA in Theatre and am working on my MA in Theatre Education at Emerson College. Although I grew up in NH, I currently live in Boston and teach at a K-5 After-School program where I teach everything from sports to theatre to arts and crafts! I am also involved in the local theatre scene and dream of opening my own children's theatre one day. In my free time I like to read, watch movies, explore Boston, snowmobile, and hang out with my firends and family.

AMI HAWKES - Tutor

Hi, my name is Ami. I am a graduate of Salem State College where I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology with a concentration in Social Work. I later attended UMASS Boston for my Masters in Education and CAGS in School Psychology. I have been working as a school psychologist for the past 16 years. I am currently employed at the Middle and High School levels, where I work with a variety of students with learning differences, special needs and emotional issues. I evaluate student's cognitive abilities and academic functioning. I love the rewards of my job, which includes helping students reach their highest potential. When I am not working, I am busy with my own teenagers. I enjoy yoga, reading, sailing and especially, the beach! I look forward to working with you.

Hello, my name is Jim. I graduated from Clark University in 1998 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and again in 2000 with a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA). Clark instilled in me a passion for student leadership education, which I have pursued the last nine years as an educator and administrator in higher education. I worked three years at the College of the Holy Cross and the past six years at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. Currently I am the Director of Student Life at Wentworth where my work revolves around student leadership training, diversity initiatives, and first year student transition to college. When I’m not on campus, you can find me either traveling to Maine, chasing around my nephews and nieces, or cheering on the Pats and Sox.

JENN ARONSON - Tutor

Hey! I’m Jenn. I received a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in literacy: language, reading and writing from Lesley University. My undergraduate studies were at UMass Amherst where I created my own bachelor’s degree with an individual c oncentration entitled Child Development and Media, as well as completed a double minor in Psychology and Education. I have been working and volunteering in the public schools and after school programs for about 15 years. Currently I work with children as an early intervention specialist helping teach them and their parents in their homes. In my free time I travel abroad, explore New England, shop, do volunteer work and spend time with friends/family.

I loved living in Connecticut, but there were just too many Yankee fans around for my taste. I moved back to Massachusetts after graduation and began teaching 7th grade English. While at Clark I was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Business National Honor Society as well as a member of the varsity lacrosse team where I received the Athletic Scholar award. Hi my name is Josh. I graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina where I earned my Bachelors in History. After I graduated from Wake I went to work in Washington DC as a paralegal. During my time in Washington DC, I received a Master’s Degree in Sports Marketing from Georgetown University. Once I finished that degree I moved to Boston and went to Northeastern University. I recently graduated from Northeastern with a MBA. Since living in Boston I have worked in sales for CSN stores and I currently work in finance for Raytheon. If you can’t tell I am an avid sports enthusiast. When I am not busy working I am playing golf, tennis, basketball, or softball. If I can’t actually get out and play I love watching football and all other sports on TV.

Hi, my name is Karen Spencer and I am currently a tutor for the SAT I. I graduated from Bentley College in 2000 with a Bachelors degree in Business Management. I returned to Bentley as a night student while working full time to pursue a Masters degree. I received a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management of Operations and Technology in 2003. I currently work for a local semiconductor test company as a New Product Planner. When I'm not working, I enjoy running, playing tennis, and reading.

Hello there! My name is Nora Goodwin. I received my BA in Psychology from Boston University in 2000 and moved to the mid-west to try something new. After some time off to figure out what kind of work would have meaning in my life, I returned to Boston and received my Masters in Education with a concentration in Counseling from Boston University in 2004. I currently work as a high school guidance counselor and love it! When I am not working I spend my time playing volleyball, practicing American Jiu Jitsu, and doing anything outdoors. I also enjoy reading and am a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan.
